Why solar structures need shims
Mounting structures for solar plants are levelled on site: a few millimetres of packing under a post base, purlin or rail brings a row of modules into line on uneven ground or foundations. Galvanised shims resist the weather for the life of the plant.

What coating do the shims have?
Galvanised sheet with zinc-rich paint on cut edges, or zinc plating. Stainless steel is available for coastal sites.
Can you make the shims in larger quantities?
Yes. Shims are cut on a shear and turret punch, so batch quantities are routine. Tell us the size, gauge and quantity.
