Shims for Lifts and elevators

How lifts use shims

Guide rails are bolted to brackets fixed to the shaft wall. The rail face is brought to the plumb line by packing shims between the bracket and the wall or the rail. The lift maker's installation drawing sets the shim sizes and how many may be stacked.

What we make

  • Guide-rail bracket packing shims, 100 × 60 mm with an 18 mm slot, stainless steel 304, 1.0 to 4.0 mm, in sets
  • Custom sizes and slots to the lift maker's drawing
  • Lift components: car wall and ceiling panels, floor pans, landing door sills and jambs, call-button and operating-panel boxes

The lift maker approves the part and sets the shim pack; installation follows the lift code that applies.
